To Victory – S/T [REVIEW]

Genre(s): Metalcore / Progressive
To Victory’s EP S/T is an instrumental album that is slow going, not really heavy, and is more rock than anything but is a decent EP overall. I think that it could be better if it had vocals and possibly better audio quality.

“Crack Is Whack, Yo” is the second song off of S/T. It is a slow going, but upbeat, song with mostly the same guitar sounds repeated throughout the entire song. There is a change of pace near the end of the song, as drums become more prevalent than the guitar.

The fourth song is “Forest Fire” and it’s a bit more grungier than the previous song. The guitar sounds more raw compared to the other songs on the album. Outside of that, the song is as slow going as the rest of the album.
S/T is a slow going, sometimes upbeat and grungy, EP. I can’t find much to say about it, as it is very short lived with each song being less than three minutes long. I think with a full line-up, better audio quality, and an overall improvement as a band, their next album will be better.

Score: 2/5
