PSAB: Why was the name “Our City Skyline” used for your band? Did you have any other choices when creating the band? If so, what were they?

OCS: It was just something that we all liked at the time.  Had a nice ring to it, kind of reflected where we were. Like whenever you see that familiar back drop it brings about feelings either good or bad.

PSAB: How’s been the feedback for your new single “Letting Go?” Also, when can expect your new album?

OCS: The feedback has been awesome so far.  We are really hoping people dig it.  We wanted to kind of branch out from what we did before and with any changes it can be good or bad responses, but it’s been pretty positive. Also our new album Empty and Hollow will be out very soon.

PSAB: What are your plans for the upcoming summer season? Tour? Record?

OCS: This summer season we are looking to go and push the hell out of this record. So we are wanting to go and play as much as possible. We are planning on getting a tour in the works.

PSAB: How’s the local metal scene in Boise, ID?

OCS: The local scene here is up and down.  We have some really cool bands and a lot of younger kids that are starting bands and getting into music which is pretty cool. So hopefully we will be on an upswing and get it back to where we’ve been before.

PSAB: What has played the most influence on your music? This can be non-music related.

OCS: As far as musically it will be bands like Misery Signals, Hopefall, Taken, and deftones.  Those bands all pushed their sound and did some really cool stuff. Non music related would probably as cliche as it sounds, life. When writing this record, Some members were going through a lot of stuff, including near deaths or stuff with their families. It became an outlet and I think that feeling really comes across in both the lyrics and the music.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to the readers out there?

OCS: A big shout out to our boys in the bands Alone and Stepbrothers. (We may share a couple members) A big shout out to Ryan who produced this record. He took so much time and really invested himself and it shows. Also just to anyone who has taken the time to listen to our music, come out to shows, and support something that we are very passionate about. It means the world to us and we thank you.
