PSAB: Where does the band name “Inti Fall” come from exactly?

IF: Well, we all came from different bands when we started this project, by the time we were ready to release our music, we were still doubting on wether or not we should continue using the previous band name, but a good friend of us recommended us to change the name to give the project a fresh start, “from zero” you know, so for a couple of weeks we were discusing the band’s name but we couldn’t came up with anything. It was a good night when I was at home with some of the guys and we were in a video call with the other members, we decided nobody would go to sleep that night until we get a name for the band, so after a couple of hours talking we came up with it.

INTI is the ancient Incan sun god, it was considered a deity in the ancient Inca culture, FALL just refers to the act of falling. We feel INTI FALL is ambiguous, it can mean the fall of the Inca empire, the fall of god, the fall of religion or even the fall of economy as “Inti” was the name of the old currency in our country until 1991 when we were in a social, politic and economic national crisis.

PSAB: What are your plans for the upcoming Spring season?

IF: Well we just re-release our debut EP Before Disaster, with a new bonus track in it, so our plans are to play as many shows as possible, get more listeners to share our music and message with, we are trying to go on tour outside the country too while keep working on our first full lenght, which is almost finished, by the way. Basically, we’ll continue working hard on this to make things bigger and bigger.

PSAB: If you had the choice to have a musician featured on one of your tracks. Which musician would that be and why?

IF: M. Shawn Crahan, we all are huge fans of Slipknot and Clown’s story on how he co-funded Slipknot has inspired us, we took his experience as a model while we started working on our own project. You can see where Slipknot is right now and all they achieved through the years, that man is a legend!

PSAB: What is the metal scene like in Lima?

IF: Well, I won’t say much about it, just that the Lima scene is still a baby growing up. There’s still a lot to do here.

PSAB: What are three bands that play the most influence on your music?

IF: Slipknot, Ill niño (as we use spanglish in our lyrics too) and Born of Osiris.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to the readers out there?

IF: Of course! If you got to this point reading THANK YOU SO MUCH for your interest in our band, we really appreciate all the support we get from people through their messages, as we are from Peru it’s crazy everytime we get messages from far places like Ireland, Malasya or Japan, we thank everyone who has been sharing our music in their countries! Hope to see you someday in a show!
