Facebook – Genre(s): Deathcore/Metalcore – Location: Serbia

PSAB: Why did you choose the name “Elegies For A Dead Man” for your band?

EFADM: When i started this band with guitarist/composer Vanja, we wanted a name that has some meaning. Elegies as you know are sad, tragic songs. With this name we honor the fallen, because without them we wouldn’t be here.

PSAB: How was the feedback when you released The Offering? Are you still receiving feedback now?

EFADM: Since the release of our first single, i can say that so far it is great. Every day we see people all over the world sharing our video and writing words of support. We are a new band, and we are trying to get recognised as much as we can. Every supporter counts and we hope we will reach more new fans.

PSAB: If you had the choice to have a musician featured on one of your tracks. Which musician would that be and why?

EFADM: Hmmm a tough one…I think it would be awesome to have CJ from Thy Art is Murder or Nergal ov Behemoth..,front men from bands that inspire us.

PSAB: What is the metal scene like in your area?

EFADM: There are a lot of metal bands in Serbia, and every year we have some awesome International acts. We re really looking forward to see Suicide Silence this July! Some of our bands you should definitely check out are our bros from Instead Of A Kill, End Of The Hunt, Destiny Potato, Third Gallery…

PSAB: What are three bands that play the most influence on your music?

EFADM: Since the beginning, we wanted to create that australian death metal/ deathcore sound with blackened atmosphere with progressive influence. Bands like TAIM, Aversions Crown, The Red Shore, Born Of Osiris, Veil of Maya really inspired us, but if there were not acts like Behemoth, Suicide Silence, Chelsea Grin, Whitechapel this would not be it, so i can’t choose only 3, sorry!

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to the readers out there?

EFADM: Yes! To all the people who spent the time to check us out, read this interview or shared our music, and of course to all the people at P&B…THANK YOU! Our first EP is out soon, you can expect some brutal stuff ! I hope you will enjoy it!
