Interview with Dreams of Demise!

Genre(s): Metalcore/Deathcore/Post-Hardcore
PSAB: Where does the band name “Dreams of Demise” come from?
DoD: The name Dreams of Demise came from an old band me (Harry) and our vocalist (Justin) were in at two separate times so we decided to use that.

PSAB: What is the local metal scene like in Levittown, PA?

DoD: The local metal scene in Levittown is decent. We got a couple close places to play at. There isn’t really any bands left in Levittown that are currently playing. The only other one band is called “God Sex Weapons.”

PSAB: When can we expect your EP to release this year?

DoD: We aren’t sure when our EP will be released, all we know is it will be out sometime late this year.

PSAB: What bands have played the most influence on your music?

DoD: We take inspiration from band bands, mainly Whitechapel, The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria (First album), Slipknot, Attack! Attack!, As I Lay Dying, and Thy Art is Murder.

PSAB: You combine three different types of -core genres; post-hardcore, metalcore, and deathcore, into your music. Why did you choose to combine those three genres and not stick to one, or even two, of those genres?

DoD: We chose those three core genres because it really what all our inspirations play plus we all seem to be pretty good with them styles. We also don’t want to limit ourselves to jut one genre when we can do all three and sound pretty good.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to the readers?

DoD: We’d like to give a shout out to everyone who supports us and comes to our shows and Pig Squeals And Breakdowns for giving us this opportunity to share some info about the band.
