Interview with Consumption!

Genre(s): Deathcore
Location: Idaho
PSAB: Where did the band name “Consumption” come from exactly?
Gage: Consumption was originally called Consumption of an
Afterbirth. We changed the name because we wanted to take the project
seriously. We couldn’t be taken as seriously as we wanted with a name as
ridiculous as Consumption of an Afterbirth.
Jordan:
It was all a joke band back then.. Writing just stupid stuff but we
wanted some seriousness involved now so it’s since been changed.

PSAB: How was the feedback when you released Incredulous Delusions? Are you still receiving feedback now?

Gage: The feedback was minimal, but this was to be expected.
Regardless of the minimal responses, Jordan and I were both ecstatic to
see so many people enjoying our music. We still get feedback from time to time.

Jordan: Yeah we haven’t really had much, but from what we’ve had it’s been awesome so far.

PSAB: You’re currently unsigned, if you could be signed to any record label, which label would that be and why?

Gage: I honestly would have to say We Are Triumphant would be
the most fitting label for Consumption. Jordan might feel differently.
Jordan: Totally agree.

PSAB: What is the local metal scene like in your area?

Gage: Metal scene in Idaho sucks for the most part. But that makes for more devoted true die-hard metal heads.
Jordan: I wish I had the time and other resources to be able to be apart of
the metal scene locally a little more. Some of the people I’ve met are
great.

PSAB: Which bands play the most influence on your music?

Gage: AngelMaker, Infant Annihilator, Chainsaw Disaster, and Rings of Saturn planted the Consumption seed in our minds.
Jordan: Yeah I’d also put older Chelsea Grin and Suicide Silence in there, and a mix of anything fast and stupid.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to your fans?

Gage:  Brad Kraus. He’s a chump but we love him.
Jordan: Just to stay tuned!
