Interview with Aborning!

Band: Aborning
Genre: Slam Death Metal / Brutal Death Metal
Q: Where did you get the band name “Aborning” from?

We had a different name for about 2 years and then one day our vocalist showed up with the name Aborning and it just kinda stuck. I think he just opened a dictionary and pointed to the first word he saw. Hahaha

Q: Your band originally started with five members, but now only has two. What changes have you made with half the band gone?

With half the band gone we have completely changed our sound. It’s two original members in the band and we are now writing and arranging music the way we want it done. We are also touring more now.

Q: You’re currently signed to Steamroller Records. What has the experience been being signed to them?

As for being signed, we are searching for a label. We just signed with Goat Entertainment though. We are excited about the 2014 tour with that company.

Q: Ayperos, your up and coming EP set to release this year. What can we expect from this EP?

Our older stuff is more death metal. This new album is completely different. This is the first actual album we wrote ourselves as a 2 piece. It’s a lot more grindcore and Brutal slam. Our favorite album so far!

Q: What is the local metal scene in Newnan, GA?

The local metal scene from where we’re from is pretty dead. Usually we’d rather drive across country to play a show then to do one in GA. Some shows get a good crowd and others just blow. It will pick back up though… We hope.

Q: What are you goals for the rest of the year?

Our goals for the rest of the year is to start and finish writing for our full length. We have so many new ideas for the next album.

Q: Any shout outs to give?
Shout outs… So many but we will name a few… Despise The Sun, Fetal Disgorge, Cranial Impalement, Duckling Fantasy, Defleshment, and the list goes on and on
