Colombian Necktie – Clown Killer [REVIEW] October 15, 2013Micah No Comment Facebook Listen / Download (via Bandcamp) Genre(s): Hardcore / Brutal Death Metal Colombian Necktie’s single “Clown Killer” is a combination of instrumentals from chuggy-hardcore with the vocal styles of brutal death metal. For majority of the song, the instrumentals seldom change from the same sound/pace of repetitive guitar chugging. Though, near the end of the song the chugging becomes more spaced out and is at a slower pace. The vocals are what you would hear in a brutal death metal/slam band, so very low screams and gutturals for the most part. The audio quality, I think, could be improved so the vocals are more clearly heard and the instrumentals are less fuzzy sounding. Overall, this song is okay.
