Track Review: Deciphering the Zodiac – Void

A surprisingly melodic Metalcore outfit from Green Bay, Wisconsin. They are Deciphering the Zodiac, having released their Void single just last month. If this band name sounds familiar, it better bloody well be, their vocalist made a guest appearance on the Entering Oblivion EP by Beheading the Goddess (my previous review). He roared so well, I had to investigate further.

Review: Beheading the Goddess – Entering Oblivion

From Green Bay, Wisconsin, Beheading the Goddess released Entering Oblivion just four days before the start of 2017. In an age where some of the more well-known deathcore bands are experiencing genre fatigue, identity issues, and possibly a mid-life crisis, Entering Oblivion is a breath of fresh air. This four-tracked little gem is roughly twelve minutes long and seems to display common sense in areas where many older bands could certainly take notes.

Track Review: Drown The Faith – Engraved In Despair

Taking a break from Europe, we focus on a deathcore/metalcore band from Perth, Western Australia, known as Drown The Faith. Having released their EP ‘Blood On The Page’ in 2014, and their single ‘Awful Place’ last year, Engraved In Despair is merely a hint of the band’s new sound and style – as well as many more songs to come.

Review: Dimman – Guide My Fury

This year however, it would seem that Finland is one of few reserves still rich with originality and lush with the fruit of flawless harmonies and unrelenting riffs. Released on the 25th of August, the new sophomore EP Guide My Fury is the new slice of heaven offered by none other than Dimman.
